That would be me. The program was limited. It was designed only for 88
note rolls and was before I had ever heard of MIDI. Instead, it read an
ASCII data file containing info on note, duration, and lyric.
The program, running in Rexx on an IBM mainframe, would read the ASCII data
file then output the binary info to drive an Epson 9 pin printer. It would
print edge lines, the holes, and lyrics over on the right side. The edge
lines were there so I could judge if the roll paper was getting skewed in
the printer.
