[ Editor's Note: I sent e-mail requesting more information on the USENET
[ News posting which Terry Smythe forwarded to us for digest.95.11.22. Below
[ is the reply I got, which provides more details about the instrument
[ in question.
It is an Ampico A mechanism on a Mason and Hamlin A grand (5'4", I believe).
It was manufactured in 1927, and has been refinished (fancy mahogany, with
double-post legs, but not carved),rebuilt with delignit pinblock, new bridge
caps, strings, etc, dampers, Nutone hammers, shanks and flanges, key
bushings, etc, regulated; the Ampico mechanism has also been fully restored.
I'm asking $23,500.00. The Piano Place is the name of my business in Ballston
Spa, NY.
