A local piano technician (& player/reproducer rebuilder) recently was
handed a ratty Coinola A (about 1918) keyboard coin piano for rebuilding.
Though the fronts of the keys in the center of the keyboard had been
rounded off & it had been given a couple of heavy coats of white & pink
paint, it was recognizable & nearly complete.
However, it is missing the drive belt. Is there a source for replacements?
It has the original 5 cent coin slot, but is also missing the funnel & coin
chute. Does anyone have a suggestion for creating acceptable & reasonably
authentic substitutes? Would a flattened piece of conduit, of the sort
previously sold by PPC come close? Any suggestions will be passed on with
gratitude for those who can help.¶
Thanks,¶
