I believe I have a private recut copy of this (RYTHMODIK A10802/The Fig =
Leaf Rag) at home, and I believe it is Joplin's Fig Leaf Rag arranged by =
Wm. Lawrence as a 1-step. I don't remember figuring out any specific =
person for "W.E.D."; I generally assume these are excuses for some editor =
adding a 3rd or 4th hand to the arrangement, and I don't give it much =
more thought than that.
BTW, Rythmodik Wendling rolls are pretty early (ie. 1915-1920, before the =
QRS rolls were issued). I remember some being quite good, but none so =
fantastic that I would knock someone over to hear it! I'm usually not a =
fan of heavily-arranged rolls, but like anything there are some excellent =
exceptions to this rule. I'd say you got a very good roll here - it's a =
keeper! I'll go home and play it tonight...
