Re: Kangaroo Pouch Leather
By Matthew Caulfield

I have never seen kangaroo pouches (except on kangaroos!) but I can well believe Craig's praise of them is not overstated. And the price of $8 per square foot is unbelievable, especially since the Leather Supply House (Marilyn McLeland) sells its zephir skin at $11.75 per skin (about 2 3 of a square foot). Incidentally she now has kangaroo bellows leather in stock in various weights (but not pouch weight) at $7.95 a sq. ft. in natural, $8.50 in black (full skins only, average skin size 4 sq. ft.). What Craig said about the virtues of kangaroo holds true for its use as bellows material on any bellows getting hard use.
