A while ago a friend in Johannesburg proudly showed me a Steinway piano
roll piano that he'd acquired.  I sat enraptured listening to Gershwin
himself playing some of his popular numbers.  It looked and sounded in
beautiful condition the only thing wrong was that it was rather loud -
he apologised that the goody controlling the volume wasn't working - I
didn't mind - the louder the better! Anyone got any idea what such an
instrument is worth?
