Regarding the case for the Thorens: I did something like George Fryer
but with a Regina upright/countertop case and 11-inch Polyphon movement.
Measurements were obtained from a local member with an original case.
I took pictures and gave them to a local guy who made a really nice
mahogany case for $600.
Additionally, I had him make the back of the case with spruce, plus add
a rock maple screw-rod for direct contact from the bed plate to the back
of the case. The sound is quite good.
