The HP Scan Jet which I took apart is a Model 9190A as far as I can tell.
It comes apart by removing about 6 million screws one of which is under a
seal sticker.  I'm sure there are a lot of these and similar scanners
around surplus.  There are probably quite a few models with the same CCD
engine.
