FS: Wurlitzer 165 Band Organ
By Matthew Caulfield

I just heard that one of the ten surviving Wurlitzer style 165 band organs (or "Duplex Orchestral Organ", according to Wurlitzer literature) is for sale by its owner, Hayes McClaran. It is the only one of the ten that I have not personally seen, so I can't vouch for it. But I under- stand that Hayes has it in top restored condition in his new Indiana home, after having had it in storage in his Fresno shop for a number of years.

The last 165 sold went a couple of years ago for $150,000 or so. I heard the ballpark figure wanted for this valuable instrument, but won't quote it here because I am not acting as Hayes' agent or spokesperson.

[ Anyone know what the Verbeeck replica at Seabreeze Park cost? --Robbie
