Roll Harmonica
By Nancy Fratti

In response to Troy Taylor. While I'm not 'into' the little stuff too much, I can tell you that a complete and working Rolmonica will sell for about $225 with 4-5 rolls. Rolls by themselves are worth about $10.00 each in excellent condition.

There are some 'parts' Rolmonicas out there somewhere, most with cracked bodies and/or dried up gaskets. Most also have bug carcasses in the guts so, when you test one out to see if it's working, *don't inhale.*

(That's no joke! You can play a Rolmonica on *both* the exhale AND inhale. Personal experience taught me that.)

Finding a parts machine with harmonica intact could cost you almost as much as the value of an intact machine. Most people at flea markets, etc., who have these things think they are easily fixed; they don't understand, nor care. I've seen what I call 'parts' Rolmonicas with asking prices around $125-175. It's simply not worth it, in my book, to purchase them to try to retrofit them into a good body.

Which brings up another point: I've never tried to do it, but is it at all possible to retrofit one? Might it be put in in such a way that you risk breaking the body whilst trying to implant the donor?

Don't know if that helps at all. Good luck!
