Miniature Electric Valve Data
By Stephen Kent Goodman

I spoke with a couple of rebuilders who are in the process of installing
these valves from Ragtime, and both confirm that the valves themselves do
not seat as they should and do require slight modification/adjustment.

I am currently arranging Midi files for several collectors and
enthusiasts, so naturally the physical limitations and characteristics
are important considerations to me.

On the subject of Midi control, does anyone know how a multiple tune roll
is handled on a 3.5" disk? I enter a coin trip (credit cancel) "hole",
along with the register cancels after each selection, but when the machine
is started again, what determines the next tune to be played? Is it one
tune per disk?

S. K. Goodman

[ I've not seen a floppy disc reader with a coin slot, but Yamaha would
[ be a likely company if there _is_ one built! If so, I'd guess that
[ the coin would signal the disc reader to advance to the next disc
[ file and begin playing. A "coin trip" channel thus isn't needed to
[ control the preader; however, it's a good way to control the empty
[ time between songs. Has anyone seen such a coin-op device? -- Robbie
