FS: Complete Duo-Art System
By Mike Carey

For Sale:

COMPLETE Duo-Art Reproducing system.

This system was removed from a Steinway "L" grand piano, dated 1924. The
dealer that has piano did not want to  do any work on the player system;
he intends to have a new disk-based player system installed.

This vintage Duo-Art does not have a "Tempo-namic" knob; it has levers for
all functions.

ALL Parts Included: pump, expression box, stack, spoolbox, ALL linkage,
all control pneumatics, all control levers and pallet valves, even all the
hose.

The system has been re-worked some time in the past. The pneumatics have
been recovered, and almost all of the linkage/mounting brackets have been
re-plated with chrome.

The stack DOES NOT have the 'cross-style' valve plates.

The pump is the 17" size pump. It has been recovered, and pulls 95+
inches of vacuum with a small pulley on the motor.

It has an 80-note stack. I could not tell if the valves have been
re-leathered (as I did not have time to investigate, due to the fact I had
to strip out the player mechanism so the piano could be delivered to the
refinisher.)

All of the small parts (accessory pneumatics, tubing, etc.) are boxed.
The pump is a rotary type, with the motor mount mounted to the side of the
pump.

Asking price: $2000.00. I am somewhat flexible on this.

I would prefer to sell the system as a set.

If interested, contact me via e-mail, or privately, and I can e-mail you
my phone number/snail-mail address.
