Announcement: End-of-Year Fundraising Drive In Progress

Our End-Of-Year Fundraising drive is in progress. If you haven't contributed to the operation of the MMD in the last 12 months, this would be a great time to contribute. There's a PayPal link at the bottom of each page on the website.

If you aren't sure when you last contributed, please send me a note using the contact form at the bottom of this page and I'll look you up in my records.

Thank you for your generous support!
Jody

P.S. While your support is needed and appreciated, you do not need to contribute to be a subscriber. If you have subscribed and aren't receiving your Digest, please use the contact form at the bottom of the page and let me know. Thanks!

Coinola Reproduco
By Gerry Bay

Here's some really basic questions for a newcomer to the mechanical music
hobby... sorry to take up this airtime!

    1. Do service manuals for the Coinola Reproduco exist? Where can
       they be obtained.

    2. Who is a good source of supply for replacement parts for these
       type of instruments?

    3. What is the name and address of the MBSI equivalent for player
       pianos and orchestrions?

Thanks for the help.

Gerry Bay

 [ Editor's Note:
 [
[ Gerry wrote a second note later in the day explaining that he
[ was looking for AMICA in question 3) above, and found them.
 [
[ I'd like to remind new readers that despite the implications of
[ the name, the "Musical Box Society International" (MBSI) is also
[ quite active in this area. Both societies now have Web sites.
[ Please see Philippe Rouille Web site for a list pointers to
[ these and other International societies:
