Beer Songs
By Richard Moody

From the president of our Brule County Historical Society (South Dakota)
comes this little ditty:

In heaven there is no beer,
That's why we drink it here.

The melody is polka style. Too bad there isn't an ASCII way to write
melodies.

In Brule County there is a sizable Czech population; my mother-in-law is
Czech, and perhaps can translate "Skota lasky". If she can't I am sure
Paule Sebesta can. I am wondering if there were any player piano rolls
with Czech lyrics. I have seen German, and Polish.

Richard Moody

[ Ask for a "smooth" translation of the Czech title. -- Robbie
