Gulbransen "Fish-pole" Tracker
By John Phillips

Peter Coggins' description of his occasional disasters with his
Gulbransen fish-pole tracker reminded me that I rebuilt my electric
Gulbransen Recordo exactly 20 years ago. Where did that time go?

It took quite a bit of fiddling to get the tracking right, so the piano
would play all the varieties of Recordo rolls, but I haven't had to touch
it once in those 20 years. My only complaint about it is that, being a
single ear device, it doesn't like rolls with really soft left-hand
edges.

John Phillips, Hobart, Tasmania.
