Help Identify Action in Wreburne Apollo
By Doyce Aaron

Hello all. My name is Doyce Aaron and I need some help in identifying
a player action in a piano that I rescued from a coworker about 6 years
ago.

First I will tell you what I know about the piano. It has the name
Wreburne cast into the harp on the soundboard. On the keyboard cover
it has a decal that says Wreburne The Apollo Player and Piano Co. Ltd.
London. Their are 85 keys. I can not find any other info on the
piano.

The player action has no name on it. There is a sticker with patent
numbers on it. All the patent nos. are dated from 1919 to 1922.
The tracker bar has 93 total holes in it with what I think are
tracker holes in either end. A large hole 2nd from the left and a
somewhat smaller hole 3rd from the left. A hole of the same type
2nd from the right. Their are 88 holes in the middle. The pump
section is in poor shape and was plumbed in with PVC pipe from the
pump to the stack and has been broke loose. So I do not know the
correct routing. * I will not use this type of repair. *

I do have the fine beginner's book Player Piano Service and Repair by
Arthur Reblitz and would appreciate any suggestions on other reading
material or manuals.

I am a mechanic by trade, wood worker by hobby, and musician by grade
school training ( tuba, trumpet, baritone ) and learning the piano. I
would like to restore this player to working condition so my family and
friend my enjoy it.

If any one needs more info to help identify the player action or the
piano itself just let me know.

Thanks in advance

Doyce Aaron
