Recording: 'Dutch Band Organ'
By Bob Conant

I believe that this recording is one of the first I ever obtained
sometime in the early nineteen seventies. It started me on a love of
Dutch street organs.

As Mr. van Oost says, the owners often painted their own name on the
front. My Wilhelm Bruder Sohne, which was also modified by Carl Frei
in the thirties, had the name Jos Hoefnagels painted on the banner.
Hoefnagels was the owner during the 1940s and 50s and seriously
mutilated the facade (which we have since restored to near original).
