'Sunflower' and Hello Dolly'
By Matthew Caulfield

I have "Sunflower" (by Mack David, Nov. 12, 1948) on a W165 organ roll
and now I know why, every time I hear it, I begin to hum "Hello Dolly,"
which is on another roll. Joyce is right that there is a slight
resemblance, but not enough so that the connection ever crashed through
to my conscious brain.

Don't you suppose that sooner or later every melody will have its echo,
wittingly or unwittingly, in some other tune?
