Other Products by Mills Novelty Co.
By Karl Petersen

I had a fine Mills machine that wasn't even electric, but it did work
forever and was a fabulous moneymaker for its original owners. It
resides today in Georgia in the basement of my cousin where it eats and
returns washers instead of nickels. The three revolving wheels with
fruit and bars will be the last necessary clue, if you need it.

The Mills Novelty Co. supplied the entertainment industry with hardware
for decades. I often wondered how they picked the wide-eyed owl as
their trademark. I have Don Barr's stationery with it embossed in
gold.
