Celluloid Keytops on 1919 Weber ?
By Tim Baxter

Robbie:

I'm travelling to Jacksonville in two weeks to see the piano; the
collector/owner simply told me they weren't ivory. It's possible that's
it's very clean ivory, and they looked "fake" to him, but I'll report
further when I've had a first hand look.

The pics and video tape the owner sent make the instrument look absolutely
beautiful (rich mahogany finish - the wood looks gorgeous). Of course, the
instrument is (hopefully) fine too, both piano and Duo-Art mechanism have
been restored.

I'll keep you posted.

Thanks,

Tim

P.S. Thanks also for your excellent submission re: music roll
acceleration. If/when I start coding long classical Duo-Art rolls, I will
want to take roll acceleration into account. Brandle's Win-Doze version of
"Wind" does this automatically, but I'm using the (now unsupported :-( )
Mac version, and will need to do these calculations.
