Ampico B Upright Player
By Bruce Clark

Although Ampico model B units were found only in grand pianos, a friend
of mine, who is a piano tuner, discovered a model B upright! It is the
only one I have ever heard of. Perhaps it was an experimental model,
or one built by an employee of the Ampico Corporation?

Has anyone else ever heard of a model B unit installed in an upright

It is my opinion that no one is an Ampico expert. I have worked with
Ampico units for well over forty years, and still find variations in
construction, and design. I think Mr. Stoddard was a busy man, always
seeing improvements, and making changes.
