Hand-Cranked Organs.... Here's Where They Play
By Frank and Shirley Nix

Well, talk about timely. Mark Kinsler asked where do these hand-cranked
organs play... I can answer at least for this weekend.

Sept. 19th and 20th there will be a Monkey Organ Festival in Lake
Arrowhead California, and for anyone who is able to get there it should
be really a lot of fun.

Our HOT weather has cooled down, and in the Mountains it will be a
lovely 70-something during the days, with nights down to the 40's.
Perfect weather for an outing. There is a lot to do in the area, and
we will be playing all day Saturday and Sunday.

There will be organs from over a hundred years old to the new electronic
models, with as wide a range of sound as there is of age. Each one has
its own charm, its own sound, and will find its own audience. No
monkeys, though... At least not live ones, although there may be some
surprises... Who knows?

We will be leaving Friday, so you will have to just come on up... Look
us up and say hello.
