Re the Gulbransen baby grand piano: the electronic solenoid type player
is what I was looking for -- the pneumatic kind is way too involved for
me.  I was seeking the kind of mechanism that sits on the keyboard and
plays the piano via MIDI control from files on a PC.

I am not a piano player (I am a guitar/banjo/mandolin/bluegrass kind
of guy) but I love piano music and the piano we are being given is a
beauty, with a beautiful full sound, although it needs careful tuning.

There are apparently many types of MIDI mechanism out there, some with
touch control and expression and things, and you folks on this web room
with all that information in your heads, and the blessed willingness to
share it, have already helped me a lot.
