Organ Grinder at Bellagio
By Hal O'Rourke

Just returned from Las Vegas and dropped the big bucks to see the new
Cirque Du Soleil production "O" at Bellagio. Before the curtain goes
up clowns and other characters circulate among the audience. One of
them is playing a small monkey organ.

It appeared to be new, wooden pipes in front, inlaid case, strap
around the neck, and crank on the side. I would guess 20- or 26-note,
and roll operated. I couldn't identify the manufacturer. He probably
played less than two minutes, and it wasn't exactly the highlight of
the zillion dollar production, but it's nice to see that at least one
organ grinder has a steady gig.
