QRS3226 "The Farmer Took Another Load Away!"

Hi Wayne:  I just downloaded and listened to the roll transcription of
"The Farmer Took Another Load Away!"  This is my impression of this.

The selection doesn't quite strike me as by J. Lawrence Cook.  It is
very similar, but if it is JLC, he used some really odd chord
progressions from the normal way that he did things.

The chord progressions and rubato sounds identical to some U.S. rolls
I have: "Crazy Words Crazy Tune" and "It Ain't Gonna Rain No Mo'", both
by U.S. Music rolls.  The boxes are missing and the titles have faded
on both of these old rolls, but if I would make an educated guess, this
arrangement sounds a whole lot like it was arranged by Lee Simms.

I realize that many arrangers did works under fake names, and it may
be the case here, and it may be Cook has again pulled a fast one on my
ears!  I would be happy to loan either or both rolls for comparison if
you want.  If this were a 45 RPM record, either of these arrangements
would sound like a "flip side".

My opinion for what it is worth <grin> and I could be wrong.
