Unmarked Regina Music Box
By Dan Wilson

[ In MMD 990929 Jim Quashnock inquired about an unmarked disc
[ music box purported to be a Regina Style 13. -- Robbie

This music box is an early Regina made from a mechanism imported from
the parent company, Polyphon, and cased in an American-made cabinet,
and distributed as a Regina.

U.S. production of mechanisms bearing the Regina name took a while
to get going, and demand outpaced American supply capabilities into
the mid to late 1890's. See the Encyclopedia of Automatic Musical
Instruments for a history of Regina.

Regina Certificates recording the serial number, date of shipment
and name of who it was shipped to are available from the MBSI.
