Carl Semon & Roller Organs in Japan
By Kevin McElhone

I only 'joined' MMD last month and I have looked through my corres-
pondence files for the last few years to see where I have NOT got
a satisfactory reply to my investigations, in the hope that MMD might
help me out!

I was told about four years ago by Alvin Moersfelder, a dealer in USA
(not on Internet), that not only had Carl Semon in USA made _new_ 'cobs'
for the Gem roller organ, but also that someone in Japan had been making
new instruments and was looking for someone to make new cobs to go with
them. I would like to know :-

1. What titles were made by Carl? Were they copies of old tunes, or
new ones?

2. Who is the person in Japan making these instruments, as I would
like to see if I can buy some parts that I need from him.

Thank you,
Kevin McElhone
