Theme Song of "The Little Rascals" Movies
By John Kleinbauer

There's a song in my head!

Hi All, Today Gerry Bay asked for a MIDI file of "Sailing, Sailing."
I found it in a kid's site, and I then sent it on to Gerry! If a song
is old and over-played you will need to search the kid's sites for it.

Several weeks ago I had the theme for "The Little Rascals" movies
bouncing around in my head. The song is called "The Good Old Days" and
you can find a MIDI file of it under the name little_rascals.mid.
Songs are sometimes titled wrong by people so try more than one search
name.

While I was searching for the Little Rascals I found a CD of the music
done by the Beau Hunks. The CD was made back in 1994 when they tried
and failed to make a new Little Rascals movie. I tried to get the CD
in several places on-line. While I was searching for the CD I came
upon several letters from people who were also trying to get a copy of
the CD.

At this point it was time to call my friend Tape Man. Tape Man is
called 'Tape Man' because he fixes things with tape way too often!
Tape Man really knows his music, but this CD got past him. I called
him and told him about the CD and by the end of the day he had the CD.

If you are between the age of 35 to 85 you will remember The Little
Rascals. The music on the CD is the music that used to play in the
background. The Beau Hunks took original instruments and note by note
they did the music. The album is called "The Beau Hunks Play The
Original Little Rascals Music." The music was written by LeRoy Shield.
There are 50 songs on the CD (KOCH 3-8702-2) and the Beau Hunks did a
perfect job. Thanks, Tape Man!

At this time I have only one song left I can not find. "The Three
Stooges" used to be hosted by Officer Joe Bolton here in the New York
area. I know he was not a real cop. I am looking for the theme song
that was whistled. I think the title was "Cop with a beat" or "Cop on
the Beat" or something like that. Anyone know?
