Welte-Mignon T-100 Recording System Technology
By Mike Kukral

I have been fascinated in following the discourse and speculation
regarding Welte recording processes. My questions are:

(1) Can anyone built a working model of the Welte dynamic recording
system? This would answer some questions and, at the least, provide
an interesting device.

(2) I will be in Freiburg, Germany on research this summer for about
two weeks. Gladly will I pursue any suggestions in researching or
contacting the defunct Welte company. I own a couple of wonderful
Welte-Mignon instruments, and in my opinion they reproduce with greater
authenticity and musicality than either Duo-Art or Ampico (which I also
possess and enjoy).
