Roll Recutting Projects
By Jim Crank

While I appreciate Mr. Dyer's comments on piano roll listings, my
area of interest is strictly Duo-Art and Welte player organ rolls.
Organ rolls seem to be ignored by the various publications.

Fortunately, MMD has provided sources for me and I have purchased
a good collection of new rolls for the Aeolian and a wonderful supply
of Welte rolls.

As a point of interest, the Kegg Organ Company's new Duo-Art rolls were
brought to my attention via a two-line item in the Organ Historical
Society journal some months ago. Not by any listing in the AMICA
journal, which should have mentioned this availability.

I do not belong to all the dozens of organizations that are in the
mechanical music hobby, as seldom, if ever, do they devote any
worthwhile space to the player organ.
