Seek Fan-Card Music for Ariston Excelsior
By Kevin McElhone

Another plea for help with an interesting project. A member of Musical
Box Society here in England has an Ariston 'Excelsior' which plays a
card 'fan', rather than the more usual round disc. This gives a much
longer length of tune, but he only has one 'fan'.

Does any MMD member have a fan or two that they would be prepared
either to sell or to photo-copy so that a replacement can be made?

The member concerned says he has been told that one was seen hanging on
a garage wall of a house which was on the M.B.S.I. tours at the Annual
Meeting in Autumn of last year, but his contact could not remember
which of the many places visited this was.

If you can help please contact Kevin who will detail on to the member
in England who will be happy to make contact with you by telephone.

[ I am now imagining a rather large potato peeling, curling 'round
[ and 'round above the surface of the little organ. It's neither
[ book music nor disc; might we call it "auger music"? ;-)
