"On Playing the Pianola" by Reginald Reynolds
By Malcolm Cole

There have been a couple of postings recently on how to play the
pianola properly by foot. As it happens the Player Piano Group, on
their website at www.playerpianogroup.org.uk , has reproduced Reginald
Reynolds' booklet on how to play the pianola and, as he was the
demonstrator and editor for the Aeolian company, he gives a very good
guide. Several of us in the UK followed his advice and can obtain
reasonably good musical results after copying his method.

I suggest anyone interested should give this a try, go to the PPG
page as shown above, click on "player pianos", and follow the guide
to the Reynolds article at the bottom of the page.
