Hi, all:  I've known Don Rand since he owned the Griffith Park
merry-go-round (I used to ride it on my lunch breaks when I worked
on Motor Trend Magazine in LA.).  Because I realize that many unique
and original rolls are "tied-up" forever in the collections of the few,
I have opted to share with Don some 40-plus original A, G and 4X rolls
which may or may not be forthcoming in the next round of recuts.  I
know one of these is a super U.S. Music rag roll of unknown name and
number.

Don is a great guy who knows his business.  There's an old saying,
"Nothing Good Happens Fast" and that is how it is with Don.  I know
that sooner or later these recuts will hit the market, and that
collectors everywhere who really enjoy the music will benefit.

Now let's hope some of the major collectors "out there" will part
with a few of their rare rolls for a few months for recutting to enable
some of us "out here" to savor some otherwise unobtainable material.
