Tom Wiggins has a relatively new CD of Blind Tom, and I'm guessing
that may be who you heard.

John Davis plays in Tom's style, and tells  his story, on the TV PBS
show, and there is no mention of the Wiggens CD.  Thanks, I will try
to order it.  It seems to me to be a novel style, like rag, but way
before ragtime.
