Tel-Electric Rubber Grommets
By Bob Billings

Dave Krall asks what to use to replace the rubber grommets for the key
pull-down wires on Tel-Electric players. These grommets appear to have
been custom made for the Tel-Electric, and every one I have seen has
become brittle or turned to mush. I guess their curing process was
pretty variable.

I used Russel GOB-2105H grommets with good results. The center hole is
slightly larger than the original, but this has no effect on operation.
Dimensions on the grommets are: OD = 11/32, ID = 1/8, Height = 3/16.
The inner groove dimension is not specified in my catalog, but the lot
I have works well in that respect.
