History of Androids & Automata on Video Tape
By Philippe Rouillé

Dear MMDs, I can confirm the report by Robbie, that the 90-minute
film, "Les androids Jaquet-Droz", produced by M. Sayous (in French
and English), is a very good film indeed, and well worth ordering!

You will see too in this film a few modern automata including an
incredible duck, in the manner of Vaucanson, swallowing and expelling
with a nice noise some small metal "marbles". It is made by a gifted
automaton maker, Frederic Vidoni, and it's on view at the small musee
des automates, in Grenoble, South-East France.

I made a report about this film in the last journal, No. 40, of the
French AAIMM association.

Best regards,

Philippe Rouille (Paris, France)
