I can't tell you how long I've been waiting to hear about a project
such as this!  I think the key factor is going to be the price.
I generally pay between $10-20 per cob for the old ones at eBay and
at flea markets, etc.

I might pay $25 or $30 for new cobs of, for instance, Christmas tunes
or other interesting popular tunes, but I probably wouldn't buy very
many at this price.
