I, too, get requests for musical trinket boxes; I am asked for all
sorts of information and supplies.  The requesters never stop to think
that I may be on the other side of the world.

Nevertheless, once I have found out where they are, I always try to
find someone near who can help, and give addresses and phone number.
Trouble is that these people haven't even the courtesy to say "thanks".
