Squealing Valves in Clark Player Piano
By Deane Wiley

I would appreciate some (help) comment on a current problem. I have
finished the rebuilding of valves on a 1915 Clark. The valves seal
very well on the bottom valve seat (a brass ring), but I have about
five of them that really squeal when closing against the bottom
valve seat.

I've tried less valve travel, I've tried more valve travel and I've
re-dressed the bottom valve seat brass ring. I still get squealing!
Any help would be appreciated.
