Excess of Pianolas in UK
By Kevin McElhone

I agree entirely with your MMD statement. A certain restorer over here
has about 24 in the basement in a building, and only three weeks before
the lease on the building expires!

I cannot sell my 1970's player or 1930's Spencer, both nice instruments.
The 1970's machine it looks like new inside and seems to work well and
sound nice with an optional Honky Tonk rail. In fact, in three months
no-one has even been to look at them. This is the last time I will
take a player piano in part exchange for something else. If the pianos
are still here when I move I will have to throw them away.

Now, music rolls are different: I have sold 300 in the last two months
and still have another 300 new rolls left in stock, but they are going
quickly now.
