Hole Diameter of T-100 Red Welte Music Roll
By Bob Billings

What is the punch size for Red Welte rolls? I am designing the punch
and die set for Red Welte rolls, now that the 100 hole 9/inch version
is working well in our perforator. It is tempting to choose a size
based on the "Foot of Lahr" Welte used, but reasonable fractions of
the "Foot of Lahr" don't produce reasonable punch sizes.

Bob Billings

[ The hole diameter of a T-100 roll examined by Wayne Stahnke was
[ 0.078 inches, or 1.98 mm. I suspect other hole diameters can be
[ found, too; Welte-Mignon rolls aren't terribly consistent.
