Greetings automuse,  It has been brought to my attention that the same
turbine as used in the Welte "Original" was also used in some Recordos
and that these might be easier to find.

Anyone who has any old turbine pump that might be available for parts,
please contact me.  My Vorsetzer is needed for some recordings to use
as a basis for emulation and it will not happen until the pump can be
repaired or replaced.

I sent my pump to be rebuilt so as to make it as good and reliable as
possible.  I rebuilt it with the best ceramic bearings and checked
every detail.  Then UPS destroyed it.

I hope that others may learn from this experience.  UPS could damage
a brick wrapped in steel plate!  The next time I send a motor for
rewinding I will crate it and put it in a metal shipping container.
They may be able to damage it still but it will be a challenge.
