Meaning of Initials B.A.B.
By Bill Wineburgh

Hi, Kevin: B.A.B. are the initials (and trademark) for B. A. Bremond,
maker of excellent Swiss cylinder musical boxes, many of them with
well-tuned bell accompaniment. The trademark is usually found stamped
on the top of the governor cock and the letters are enclosed in a
circle.

The latest edition of "The Music Box", published by MBSGB, contains
a revised set of makers marks, originally published in 1987, that
includes two marks by B.A.B.

Musically yours,

Bill Wineburgh
