Cremona Pinblock Separated From Frame
By Phil Corso

-- non-subscriber, please reply to sender and MMD --

Hi. I have a Cremona nickelodeon and I just found that the pin block
pulled away from the frame. I am thinking of drilling out the four
lag bolt holes and using nuts and bolts to hold it back in place as
I glue it. The widest part of the gap is in the center: it is about
3/16" and goes down to about 1/16" on both sides.

If I do this will I have to release all the tension on the strings
before pulling it back with clamps and bolts? Also, can I just leave
the gap where it is and use the nuts and bolts so it doesn't move any
more than it has already? Thank you very much.
