Chickering Bros. Grand With Welte Licensee Player
By David Dewey

-- non-subscriber, please reply to sender and MMD --

I have realized now that (because of what I found cast in the plate)
this is actually an "Acoustigrande" brand piano built by Chickering
Bros., not the same company as Chickering & Sons. Bob Taylor had
it right!

Can anyone tell me when Welte Licensee units were installed in American
pianos, so maybe I can date this piano a little closer? Thanks!
