Carousels at Euclid Beach Park, Cleveland
By Bruce Pier

The little Mangels carousel that was in the Colanade was kept
by the Humphrey Co. after the Euclid Beach Park closed, along with
most of the kiddie rides. It was later used at a park they built
in Streetsboro, which they named Shady Lake (which was puzzling,
since there was no lake and no shade to speak of).

The large PTC carousel was sold to Old Orchard Beach in Maine. It
replaced a machine that had been destroyed by fire. About two years
ago this machine was sold again, and is now back in the Cleveland
area being restored. It is destined for installation somewhere on the
waterfront, as I understand it.
