Suction Damage
By Jeff Bridges

Hi everyone, as I lie here on my couch recuperating from knee surgery,
I sometimes wonder if I am ruining my player with to much suction.
I am using a vacuum cleaner motor with a dimmer control on it. I have
noticed that if I lower the suction I lose almost all the notes, but
at full suction I can hear all the notes. I am wondering if I am
doing damage to the hammers and other moving parts. Any feed back
would be helpful. I have installed a sustain pneumatic -- that was
oooh, so fun! -- and a rewind pneumatic which needs to be tweaked.

Also another question: Has anyone ever used a bagpipe in a player
before? If so, what was the configuration of it? I think having
a bagpipe in a player would be really cool, especially if you have
some of those Irish player rolls!

Sincerely, Jeff Bridges
