New Hand-played Piano Roll "I Want To Be Bad"
By Ken Vinen

I respond because of the following excerpt from yesterdays MMD:

>> This 1929 song, "I Want To Be Bad," has been never before been issued
>> on piano roll although it was the big hit of the musical "Follow
>> Thru", written by Ray Henderson, B. G. DeSylva & Lew Brown.

The song, "I Want To Be Bad", played by Max Kortlander, is to be found
on QRS Roll Number 4614. The original box label makes a connection to
the production "Follow Thru."

I would be surprised if any popular or show music from the glorious
days of Tin Pan Alley, good or bad, escaped the piano roll makers of
the day.

Respectfully
Ken Vinen, Stratford, Ontario, Canada
