Joyland Amusement Park To Be Sold At Auction
By Marvin Zeigler

Joyland Park, in Wichita, Kansas, is to be sold at a Sheriff's auction
at 10 A.M. December 15th. Hopefully someone will buy the park that can
afford to fix it up and then be able to keep it open. Then maybe we
can enjoy the Wurlitzer Mammoth organ again.

The park has been closed much of this season so we didn't have very
much of that great Wurlitzer band organ music this year.

Marvin Zeigler

[ For more than 50 years the animated clown named "Joyland Louie"
[ has perched at the fake keyboard before the Wurlitzer Style 160
[ "Mammoth" military band organ. A nice history of the park and
[ "Joyland Louie", by Gordon Ramsey of the park staff, was published
 [ in 021229 MMDigest. -- Robbie
