Steam Calliope Owned by L. S. Burr
By Gordon French

-- non-subscriber, please reply to sender and MMD --

Hello, I just noticed a calliope, mentioned in the Model Engineer
Magazine in October 1959, owned and operated by L. S. Burr of Tracy,
California.

I've been a member of the Golden Gate Live Steamers for 30+ years
And I've never seen or heard of this instrument. Have you?

[ Orval Cooper, of Long Beach, Calif., once mentioned Mr. Burr and
[ his calliope to me. That was in 1959... -- Robbie
